Acme Feed & Seed is a popular spot for locals to enjoy good eats, drinks, and entertainment. Tom Morales, the guy behind some of Nashville’s greatest restaurants, created this 22,000 square foot four-floor restaurant and venue on lower Broadway as an upscale honkytonk. From the first step in the door, guests recognize this as a one-of-a-kind place. The live music makes guests feel welcomed, the local craft brews make guests feel at ease, and the southern style menu makes guests feel satisfied.
The four floors are all unique and spacious.
The first floor is a bar and restaurant with live music. The food menu on this floor is different than the second floor’s. Guests order their food then find a table and have their food brought out to them. Or, once receiving the food, guests can meander upstairs. The menu encompasses everything from Chicken Fried Steak to Fried Catfish. The Beer Belly Tacos (pulled pork, pickled daikon, carrot, sweet chili & cilantro with black beans & grilled corn) and The Hatchery (curried chickpeas, coconut rice, cashews, cilantro & fried egg with fry bread) are among the savory options for diners on the first floor. Unique Nashville memorabilia can be bought upon entering as well.
The second floor has a rustic, old-fashioned feel to it. With tons of couches and shuffleboard and other games, the second floor is the perfect place to sit back, sip some drinks, mingle with friends, and relax. There are also two bars and a sushi bar. The sushi bar is manned by Sam, or as some call him, “The Sushi Nazi”. Besides sushi, the second floor offers six other menu items: The Overnight Sensation (brisket sandwich), the Three Amigos (chips and salsa), Ike & Mike Nachos, Heaven-Lee Ribs, Charcuterie, and Farmer’s Market (cheese plate).
The upper two floors are geared towards entertainment. The third floor is referred to as The Hatchery, which is a private venue that can be rented out and converted into a concert or event. The final floor of Acme Feed & Seed is a phenomenal open-air rooftop bar. The rooftop boasts spectacular views of Broadway, the Cumberland River and Nissan Stadium during the day and night. Some nights there is a DJ where guests can dance the night away under the stars.
With bars on each floor, Acme Feed & Seed has invented some handcrafted cocktails. The Back Porch is a true southern favorite (American Born Moonshine Dixie, sweet tea, lemonade, housemade grenadine) while the Time After Thyme is a more acquired taste (Tito’s Vodka, Yellow Chatreuse, thyme, lemon, orange bitters). There are also 25 beers on tap and a selection of wines. There is certainly something for everyone of age.
Acme Feed & Seed is definitely uniquely Nashville and a great place to mingle with friends and devour some southern food. No matter what you come to Acme for, you won’t leave disappointed.
