Rainey Qualley: Cingle Records’ breakout artist

Rainey Qualley is a new singer/songwriter in town ready to take on the music industry. Signed to Cingle Records, she is armed with the ammunition to make this happen and is S&E Nashville’s Up & Coming Artist to watch.

A native of Asheville, North Carolina, she is also the daughter of actress Andie MacDowell. Qualley is no stranger to the entertainment industry—she has made a name for herself in the acting world, catching the attention of industry execs and fans alike. With roles in “Mighty Fine,” “Pink & Baby Blue,” “Falcon Song,” and “Mad Men,” she has now scored a record deal with Cingle Records.

She has released a few songs, including “Turn Me On Like The Radio” and “Me and Johnny Cash.” She has always loved country music and has always loved to sing. Spending part of her childhood in Ashville, North Carolina gave her that connection to a true rural atmosphere, giving her that roots connection.

With a musically-inclined father and actress mother, the entertainment business just seemed second nature to Qualley and her siblings. Growing up singing from a young age, it was the only thing she ever wanted to do. With influences from artists like Johnny Cash and Dolly Parton, Qualley’s career as an artist seems to be inevitable—soon we will see what she’s made of.

With a rich husky voice, she has her own sound. Country fans are ready for something different, and Qualley’s songs are bringing a fresh sound to the songs we hear on the radio every day.

One dream that every country artist shares would be to open for the great Willie Nelson. In March 2015, Qualley got to do just that. Now only did she get to open for Nelson, but she got to open for him on the stage of the Ryman Auditorium, the “Mother Church” of country music.

Opening for the legendary Willie Nelson is just the beginning. In June 2015, Qualley had the honor of opening for Loretta Lynn, who we all would agree is country royalty. Rounding out her summer, Qualley also rocked the stage at CMA Fest and made her Grand Ole Opry debut in August. She is on her way to doing great things.

Cingle Records released her debut EP called “Turn Down The Lights” in June 2015. She co-wrote all seven songs, including her two current singles “Turn Me On Like The Radio” and “Me and Johnny Cash.” With her radio tour in progress, she is planning to break the country music market wide open.
