Robby Johnson is a Canadian native who moved to Nashville in 2012 in search of a dream. He has performed on the “Late Show with David Letterman,” when Letterman saw his music video on YouTube, where he now has almost 3 million views. His music has appeared on the “CMT Pure 12-Pack Countdown” seven times, and he has made quite a mark with his song “South of Me.” Johnson has teamed up with award-winning producer James Stroud and is getting ready for chapter 2 of his music adventure.  We’re going to take a look at one of country music’s newest artists, Robby Johnson.

2014 was a great year for Johnson, but a great year left no time to take a breath in the music industry. No time has been wasted in getting the new year underway.  Stroud and Johnson started the beginning of 2015 looking for the best country songs possible and hitting the studio recording a new album.  Armed with a distribution deal with Sony-RED Distribution, his team is putting together tour dates for later in 2015.

There are plans for a stop in France for a project with Amazon TV Networks, but the date has not been revealed.  The tour is set for Europe and throughout the USA.

“Being in the studio surrounded by all these great musicians feels amazing! It’s history in the making. It’s cool to hear a rockin’ guitar solo on the radio, but it’s even cooler to hear it being played for the very first time,” claimed Johnson. “Working with James Stroud is incredible.

The undivided attention and focus he’s given to me helps bring out recordings that are the best representations of my art and music.” The new music will be a continuation of what was done in the past and a view of where he is headed in the future.

If you are unfamiliar with Robby Johnson’s music, then you are missing out—but I don’t think it will be long until that changes.  As a Nashville resident with plans on cracking the American market, I don’t think he is going anywhere.  His ride to fame is just beginning, and I hope it’s a long successful one.  If you would like to check out any of his music, just visit his website or find him on Facebook or Twitter.
