Zach and Colton Swon of the Swon Brothers had a banner year in 2016 as an opening act on Carrie Underwood’s massive Storyteller Tour. But the duo made a name for themselves long before gracing the stages of the arena tour.

The brothers garnered national attention during their stint on The Voice in 2013, finishing in third place during the show’s fourth season. Their new EP, Pretty Cool Scars, is bound to stand out among the genre with its blend of contemporary lyrics and captivating melodies. Equally personable as they are talented, the Swon Brothers have a natural humility that comes across both in person and on screen, an element reflected in their new project.

The boys chat with Sports & Entertainment Nashville at Country Radio Seminar about what they learned from Underwood on and off the stage, how Blake Shelton was the ideal mentor on The Voice and why Pretty Cool Scars features the best music they’ve created so far.
