City Winery is a neat venue that is always hosting live events. As Nashville’s first fully operational winery, you can listen to live music while enjoying great wine and food. In 2014 City Winery crushed 189 tons of grapes, which produced 400 bottles of wine! They are “wine inspired, regionally influenced, and locally sourced”. There is three separate rooms: the winery and barrel room restaurant, the concert dining, and VIP lounge. On Friday night, Yacht Rock Revue and The Old Ceremony will perform. Admission in $30-$35.

For an adrenaline rush, visit The Escape Game. Located just 4 miles south of downtown, The Escape Game is a one of a kind innovative entertainment concept where groups must use their teamwork to crack codes and solve the clues to escape the room. If the group can figure out how to escape in sixty minutes they can boast the triumph of escaping. There are four different rooms that are all unique and made to feel like a real life experience. Each room also has different difficulty levels: the Classified room focuses on brain power; the Nashville Escape room tones in on tactile; the Underground Playground challenges physical capabilities; and the Heist room has a high fear factor. No room has higher than a 46% completion rate, so those that escape in time can leave feeling accomplished.

This is the opening weekend for Ascend Ampitheater. Eric Church was the first act to play at the new Amphitheater last night and is back by popular demand for a second show tonight. Chicago and Earth Wind and Fire are playing Saturday. There are three seating choices to choose from when buying tickets for a concert. The Orchestra Seating is the closest to the stage followed by the Pavilion Seating. There is also a Lawn General Admission option, which are the cheapest seats.

The Adventure Science Center is a fun option for a family fun outing. It’s a place for kids to learn and experience science in a fun way. The center has changing exhibits and right now they are featuring two temporary exhibits: Identity – An Exhibit of You and Destination: Exploration. The Identity exhibit studies areas of human identity while the Destination exhibit is aimed towards children six and younger through the use of hands-on activities that use real objects.

The Adventure Science Center is also offering Laser Shows every Saturday night through the end of August. This musical journey under the dome uses digital effects to portray stars as music from anything to the Beach Boys to Pharrell Williams to Johnny Cash plays.

No matter how you chose to spend your weekend, as always, we hope you have a great one!
