JazzFest

Jefferson Street Jazz & Blues Festival

 It’s all in the name here in Music City and this weekend, it’ll come alive with the soulful sound of Jefferson Street. Join in the multi-day event that celebrates Nashville’s vibrant blues and jazz culture. The festival kicks off with a mixer tonight on the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge where you’ll delight in a variety of food and drink vendors, artists, and of course amazing jazz, blues and R&B music. The all-day festival gets underway on Saturday with all the soul music you can imagine from acts including headliners Latimore, Lakeside Band and Midnight Star, along with our own Sonja Hopkins, Tina Brown and many more.

When: Fri., June 17 – Bridging the Gap Mixer (7pm – 1am); Sat., June 18 – Jefferson St. Jazz & Blues Festival (2pm – 10pm)

Nissan Taste of Music City Festival

 Get your fill of amazing food and beverages at the 2016 Taste of Music City Festival. A 14-year tradition that serves as the largest food and drink festival in the city, sample bites from some of Nashville’s best restaurants including MAFIAoZA’s, Embers Ski Lodge, Jim ‘N Nick’s, Peg Leg Porker, Saint Anejo and so many more. Cleanse your palette in between samples with the likes of Kenny Chesney’s Blue Chair Bay Rum, Pickers Vodka, Corsair Distillery, Stonehaus Winery and plenty more options. The event benefits St. Luke’s Community House, an organization that aids low income working families and individuals in West Nashville.

ThunderCumberland

Toyota Thunder on the Cumberland

 A perfect event for Father’s Day, Thunder on the Cumberland F1 Series Powerboat Championship brings some of the world’s fastest boats to Nashville. Watch as F1 Powerboats, which can go from zero to 100 in six seconds, and Tri-Hulls, a 1970s style boat with a massive engine, tear across the Cumberland River right in downtown Nashville. The course runs between Lower Broadway and Nissan Stadium, along with several food trucks on hand and live music. It will be a perfect day down by the riverfront!

PeachJam

Night Market & Peach Jam

 It’s a sweet weekend at the Nashville Farmers Market with its 2nd annual Peach Jam weekend. The event kicks off with the summer Night Market that will include live creole music, food trucks, beer, seasonal cocktails and scrumptious fruit from The Peach Truck. Follow it up with the Peach Jam on Saturday where The Peach Truck will yet again be serving up the finest picks from Pearson Farm Peaches, in addition to a Peachy Pastry baking contest, food trucks, face painting, an art tent for kids and more.
