Get ready for another exciting weekend here in Nashville, bringing with it every event from the Music City Jazz Festival to a color-infused 5K run. Check it all out below.


Music City Jazz Festival

 Music City will live up to its name this weekend when the Music City Jazz Festival sets up shop at Fontanel. Soak in the beauty of Fontanel’s natural surroundings while listening to the fabulous jazz styling’s from the likes of Boney James, Selina Albright, Marion Meadows, Will Downing, host Aysha and much more.

When: Fri., June 3, 5pm; Sat., June 4, 11am

Where: Fontanel’s Carl Black Chevy Woods Ampitheater

Admission: $85 – $100 (single day), $125 (2 day pass)


Opera on the Mountain

 Get ready for a truly unique Music City event from our renowned Nashville Opera. This exciting outdoor concert lights up the nighttime sky for a family-friendly evening consisting of songs performed under the stars at Vanderbilt’s Dyer Observatory. In addition to the music, guests can also stargaze through the grand telescope and enjoy a BYOB and picnic. The operatic tunes will be sung by Claire Boling, Sarah Kennedy and James Eder.

When: Sat., June 4, 6pm – 10pm

Where: Vanderbilt’s Dyer Observatory

Color Vibe

 If you see a rainbow in Nashville this weekend, it’ll probably be coming from the Color Vibe at Opry Mills Mall. This 5K run is like no other, as runners are doused with bright colors as they make their way around the course. From pink to blue and every color in between, participants will keep the positive vibes going while being splashed with non-toxic, biodegradable (and even edible) color. The event ends full a full-color dance party at the finish line. Running never looked so good!

West Side Story

 A classic in its own right, “West Side Story” will be dazzling audiences this weekend in Music City. Watch this “Romeo and Juliet”-like story come to life on stage at the Schermerhorn, all thanks to Studio Tenn. Follow the journey of star-crossed lovers Maria and Tony as they navigate a gang-ridden New York City in the 1950s. Hear songs like “I Feel Pretty,” “America,” “One Hand, One Heart” and more fill the Schermerhorn as Studio Tenn revives the spirit, amazing choreography and compelling tale of this Tony Award-winning classic.

First Saturday Art Crawl

 Come see some of Nashville’s best artwork for free at the monthly First Saturday Art Crawl. This ongoing tradition allows locals and tourists alike to take in all that the city’s visual art scene has to offer. Check out more than 20 venues in downtown Nashville in the 5th Avenue of the Arts, 5th Avenue South and The Historic Arcade at galleries like The Arts Company, The Rymer Gallery, historic Hatch Show Print Gallery and more.
