Incredible music and amazing food and wine are aplenty here in Nashville this weekend. Whether you’re seeing the highly anticipated Guns N’ Roses show at Nissan Stadium or strolling amongst the animals at Red, White & Zoo, there are many events to keep you busy. See what we recommend.


Guns N’ Roses with Chris Stapleton

 In one of the biggest concerts to hit Nashville this summer, acclaimed rock band Guns N’ Roses makes its way to Music City for a highly anticipated show at Nissan Stadium on a tour that reunites band members Slash, Axl Rose and Duff McKagan. Known for hits like “Sweet Child o’ Mine,” “Paradise City,” “Welcome to the Jungle” and many more, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame members are sure to electrify Nashville with their fiery presence. Things gets even better with as Chris Stapleton, who was invited by the legendary rock band to open the show, making was is sure to be a night to remember in Music City.

Red, White & Zoo

 What better way to spend a Friday night than sipping wine from all across the world while fraternizing with some animals at the zoo? Tonight, the Nashville Zoo gives you the opportunity to do just that at the second annual Red, White & Zoo wine tasting event. The wine will be just as exotic as the animals themselves, with libations from South America, Europe, South Africa, South Pacific and all around the US. And if that wasn’t exciting enough, you can also walk the trails of the zoo, exploring select exhibits that will remain open for the event and see many of the wild animals that call the zoo home.

Red, White and Brew

 After sipping on world class wine at Nashville Zoo’s event of a similar name, head down to Sevier Park on Saturday for an equally fun event. This fundraiser for the Tomorrow Fund, which works to inspire young adults to serve their community and help establish community awareness and leadership, features excellent wine, local brews and plenty of food including local favorites like Mafiaoza’s, Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream, Nashville Sweets and many more. Along with music and games, this summer festival is sure to be a delight for all who attend.

 An event that will help you beat this summer heat, Waterfest takes over Cumberland Park all afternoon tomorrow. Kids will have a blast on the water slides and have the opportunity to learn about local waters and the importance of keeping them clean through educational activities. Plus, there’ll be a dance party, dunk tank, trivia, prizes and more. It’s the perfect way to stay cool in these hot temperatures, all while learning about how to protect our local waters.
