It wouldn’t be a weekend in Nashville without craft brews, festive spirits and an event benefiting a worthy cause. See what we have to recommend this week.


St. Jude Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon

Experience a running race like no other in benefit of the life-changing work of St. Jude Hospital. This event takes runners all around downtown Nashville, but with a Music City twist. Almost 30 stages will be set up throughout the course where musicians will be playing live music to keep the energy moving. Just some of the acts runners can expect to hear as they race past landmarks like the State Capitol and Country Music Hall of Fame include Les Kerry & The Bayou Band, Tennessee Line Band, Queens Boulevard and more. To top off an already buzzworthy day, head to Bridgestone Arena for a concert from rock band The Wallflowers after the race.

Music City Spirits & Cocktail Festival

 Celebrate the impressive spirits scene that has sparked in Nashville at the 3rd annual Music City Spirits & Cocktail Festival taking over the city this weekend. Sample a variety of different brews and cocktails, all crafted to perfection. Tonight’s event, a Tour of Southern Beer Cocktails, explores the craft of creating a beer-meets-spirit concoction. Learn all about the history of the Bloody Mary and its evolution over the years, and revel in the collaboration between Tennessee distillers and expert bartenders for an unmatchable craft brew experience.

A Toast to Tennessee Wine Festival

Wine and vine this weekend at the Toast to Tennessee Wine Festival, bringing many of the state’s fabulous wineries to one location. From festive champagne to dessert wine to the driest reds in between, every wine palette is catered to. Sample beverages from wineries all across the state including Apple Barn Winery, Eagle Springs and Holly Ridge and even local favorite Arrington Vineyards. Plus, dine on delicious food provided by local companies like Walker Creek Confections, Tennessee Gourmet, Nola Granola and many more.

Shop & Sip

With Mother’s Day and graduation season coming up, it’s that time of year for celebratory gifts. Thankfully, Nashville is filled with local shops that offer a little something different for the special someone in your life – one of them being the new Southernaire Market. Head to this eclectic store for some springtime shopping with their Shop & Sip Fridays that allows visitors to sip on libations as you shop all the unique items the store has to offer.
