Nashville is living up to its reputation as a city that knows how to throw a party with this year’s NFL Draft. Hundreds of thousands of fans from all over the country are enjoying Nashville’s Lower Broadway with its array of honky tonks along with various NFL-related activities. The Draft is the largest event ever hosted by the city of Nashville, and fans and media alike are raving about the job the city has done.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a party in Music City without the country music stars themselves. And one of the biggest superstars of our era, Taylor Swift, made a surprise appearance at Draft week on Thursday, April 25th. Swift greeted fans in the trendy Gulch area, signing autographs and posing for photos. She also showed up at ABC television’s NFL Draft set to speak with Good Morning America co-host Robin Roberts. You can watch the video of her appearance here.
Adding to the weekend excitement are free performances by Tim McGraw, April 26th, and Dierks Bentley, April 27th, at the conclusion of each night’s draft proceedings. The dynamic Lindsay Ell is opening for Bentley. Other stars lending their talents to the Draft experience are Charles Esten from the TV series Nashville, Charlie Worsham, Ryan Hurd, the duo Striking Matches and many others.
Nashville is truly the place to be this weekend.
