Uniquely Nashville Neighborhood Spotlight: Green Hills

This edition of the neighborhood spotlight features the luxurious Green Hills. Located just minutes from downtown, Green Hills has long been one of the most desired places to live in Nashville with beautiful, historic homes that have plenty of great shopping and restaurants nearby. Visitors to Nashville often frequent Green Hills for all it has to offer.

The reputable Bluebird Café featured in ABC’s hit show Nashville sits poised in Green Hills. The venue offers live music every night and “in the round” sessions are a Bluebird tradition. These intimate sessions allow four up and coming singer/songwriters to share songs while sitting in the center of the room where they perform and share their stories. This is a great place to hear great music from the best. The café only seats about 40 people and guests typically have to arrive hours before the doors open to gain admittance, but it is always worth the wait.

Green Hills of course is home to The Mall at Green Hills shopping center. The mall has some of Nashville’s finest luxury stores such as Tiffany & Co., Louis Vuitton, Jimmy Choo, Restoration Hardware, and much more. With over 100 stores, it makes for a wearing day and many visitors choose to eat at the Cheesecake Factory for lunch or dinner to replenish. Another shopping option is the Hill Center located just streets away from The Mall at Green Hills. This outdoor shopping center has chic boutiques like Anthropologie and Lululemon and casual eating options like Pei Wei and California Pizza Kitchen. The Hill Center also contains Nashville’s first Whole Foods.

Table 3 Restaurant is a French bistro offering patrons anything from a French Dip sandwich to a duck burger. This popular spot for business meetings serves excellent French comfort food. The Turkey and Avocado sandwich (bacon, boursin cheese, blackberry mustard on white bread) should not be overlooked. The Market side of the restaurant serves up pastries, soups, salads, sandwiches, and espresso beverages.

One of only two Trader Joe’s stores in Tennessee is located in Green Hills. The grocery chain has become popular amongst locals for their great value on health food that also tastes good.

The Greenhouse Bar is a popular spot to relax. The restaurant/bar is an actual greenhouse with living plants! This is a great place for a night out with craft brews and specialty cocktails or to just grab a bite to eat. The Greenhouse’s Bacon Popcorn is truly one of a kind.
