Entertainment, On A High Note

Up & coming artist spotlight: Clare Dunn

She grew up in southeastern Colorado where she cut her teeth performing in local venues and writing songs from a young age. She was a “Highway Find” on Sirius XM’s The Highway where she got airplay and did well with their audience. She eventually moved to Nashville, Tennessee and got to sing background vocals on Luke Bryan’s hit song “Country Girl (Shake It for Me),” which was a huge feather in her cap.  After a while, she secured a record deal with Universal Music Group Nashville and BMG, where she has set out to make her own mark. This week’s Sports & Entertainment Nashville’s up-and-coming artist is Clare Dunn.

Dunn has released a new self-titled EP on Universal Music Group, and her first single “Move On” has done really well on radio and streaming. Her second single “Tuxedo” is also gaining steam, and I believe it will be a big hit for her. Dunn co-wrote and co-produced the entire project, and she is very excited about the success she is receiving. Both songs are beginning to chart; they haven’t broken the Top 40 yet, but the EP itself peaked at No. 31 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums Chart. It is just a matter of time before she receives a top 10 song!

Dunn is also touring on a pretty heavy schedule, working with top acts like Miranda Lambert, Lee Brice, Justin Moore, Big & Rich and many more. She has a schedule any new artist would be envious of, and more dates are being added periodically. It seems most new artists are starting their careers in songwriting before being released as their own act, and Dunn is no exception. Dunn has penned hit songs recorded by other artists like Hillary Lindsey, David Hodges, Troy Verges, busbee, Liz Rose, Terry McBride, Brice Long, Will Hoge, Chris Lindsey, Dylan Altman, Marshall Altman and more. This is just the beginning for her in songwriting and performing – she is on her way.

She is a simple country girl with a sound of her own. She has a vision for the future, and we hope it will take her as far as her imagination will let it. She has a great work ethic, and her passion for music is exceptional. I believe we will be hearing a lot more from this lady, so keep an eye out for her.

Clare Dunn’s self-titled, five-song EP is now available for purchase, which includes her first two singles “Move On” and “Tuxedo.” There is a lot of hope for this new release, and so far it is doing quite well.  If you would like to purchase her new EP, just go to her website and check it out.
